Start a Christmas Tradition this year

What a great idea! Elf on the Shelf is the perfect thing for families with small children. The gift set comes with an elf doll and a holiday storybook. The idea is that you read the story with your child and then choose a name for your elf. The next morning the elf appears (with Mommy or Daddy's help) high on a shelf (so it can't be touched by curious fingers) to observe your child for Santa Claus. Our elf (named Strawberry by my two year old son) came to stay with us last week, and let's just say we haven't had to remind a certain someone to be nice, not naughty too many times!
